Jadoo & Halftime...

Daddy!

Yes, Tiger.

Now, I do not want to be Jadoo any more. You become Jadoo and I will become Halftime.

Ok. But, why?

Because, I am small and Halftime is also small.

Ok.

Now, do as I say. I am Halftime and telling you - Jadoo to bring a glass of water for me...

Jadoo, please bring a sandwich for me...

Jadoo, please prepare Maggie for me...

Jadoo, please bring my toys for me...

Now, does anybody has a doubt why all of a sudden Jadoo wanted to become Halftime!

(If you are not clear who is Jadoo and who is Halftime - dont blame me. Please start watching Cartoon Channels)

Pain or Sensation?

Tiger went under knife. He had a minor surgery.

"Mamma! It's paining."

"No Shannu! It is not. As doctor said, its just sensation - there is no pain. Don't worry. Everything is fine."

"Ok - Mamma"

"Daddy?"

"Yes Tiger!"

"What are you doing?"

"Sonny, I am trying to get some sleep. My whole body is paining." (I recently started going to Gym and it was all muscle pain)

"No Daddy! Its not pain, Its just sensation! - there is no pain. Don't worry. Everything is Fine."

Tiger is Hungry!

One day at Tiger’s Den…

Shannu! You are not eating anything! Please finish off your food. You should eat so that you can satisfy your hunger. So the principle is to eat as per your requirement - never eat more and never eat less!

Okay. Mamma!

Mamma!

Yes?

After finishing five or six ‘rotis’, Tiger demands.

“Give me one more ‘roti’ please!” (*roti is Indian Bread)

No! You are over eating!

But! You only told me to eat as per my requirement! I have to have one more and if require I will have to have one more after that and one more after that too!

Missing Tiger!

Daddy, I am going to Mamma…

Okay Son, but it’s crowded out here. Wait I will take you to Mamma.

No Daddy. I will go. I know where she is.

Okay!

(After spending around 5-10 minutes at checkout counter at a lifestyle store)

Hi, A

Let’s Go. Where’s Tiger?

He was with you.

Yes! DIDN’T HE COME TO YOU!!!

NO!!!

Tiger! Tiger! Tiger! Where are you… (We are running around trying to find him in middle to human sea!)

(This is paging for Mr. T & Mrs. A, please come to first floor your son Tiger is waiting for you at customer service desk!

We ran!!!

Here’s Tiger. Sitting pretty! Smiling at girls at the customer service desk and giving out information about his name, his daddy’s name, his mamma’s name and even his dad’s phone number as well)

Tiger!

Daddy! Mamma! Where have you been?

Tiger, where have you been… I told you not to go, isn’t it?

Yes! But I had to go!

How did you land here?

I came on my own.

Tell me the truth.

Yes. I came on my own. I went to Mamma, but she wasn’t there. Then I came back to you but you weren’t there either! So I took escalator and came here because I knew that they would announce it from here!!!

True!?!?!

Yes. Because, I am smart one! You know that.

(Now, there must be a different version, which we could have found out from the store guys. But we were too happy to see him back; we didn’t even bother to ask about how he landed there. We do not have any option but to believe his story.)

Tiger the Politician!

Mamma?!

Yes Shannu! (Now, that is some kind of funny mix of 'sun'+'son'. My wife invented it. I guess!)

Do You know why I beat you when Daddy's @ home?

No. Why?

So he feels that I just love him and not you.

But, you can love both of us. There is no problem.

No. Daddy will feel bad.

Hunh... so...

So, when daddy's around I am his son and when he's not I am yours! Isn't it a good idea?!

Tiger's Den!

One day at my home...

Tiger?

Yes Mamma.

Why don't you switch off the TV and go out cycling?

No.

Mamma, I don't want to do cycling. I want to watch Spongebob!!!

Ok. Why don't you eat this... please... its very nice.

No.

Please... just once. Taste it. I am sure you'll like it.

No. I said NO!

I don't want to be forced in my own home!!

!!!###$$$&&&!!!

Daddy's Note: What a profound statement? I think he's turning out to be my 'Guru' in life. We have been forced to do lot of things, which we do not like. We do it. I think, he was right when he said that he doesn't want to be forced in his own home! At least, one should have a place where one can do whatever he or she feels like. What do you say?

The Power of Letting Go!

I have a book in my home library called “The Power of Letting Go” by an author named Patricia Carrington. Well, to be very honest I have not yet started reading it. My five year old son has been fascinated by its cover (!) and since he has started to recognize few words he once asked me…

What’s it written here? The Power… the same power Richie Rich has got from his gadgets!

No… Tiger (that’s what I call him) … it’s “The Power of Letting Go”.

What’s it about?

It’s about not being fussy about anything you want and sometimes letting it go! Or not demand it… phew… it was difficult explaining it… but I was there.

Oh… so when I say I want a toy or I want to go to InOrbit (a mall in Mumbai, where we live) and if you say No… sometimes I have to agree to it without any argument… Isn’t it?

Yes. Tiger!

Ok. Daddy!

One Saturday afternoon…

Daddy! Let’s go to InOrbit today.

No Tiger. I am tired and I want to have some rest.

But Daddy! I have to go and you need to come… Let it go! Remember “The Power of Letting Go”. You can take rest once we come back!
